Hoping the iPod is in good working order on a given night. "So far, so good," Krauss says with a laugh. "Sadly, we only have one (back-up iPod), but we have the music on a Mac and there's other back-ups. Our setup is pretty simple; I have a couple vocal pedals for different effects and Derek has his guitar pedals, and we're still running all of our tracks through the iPod. Our live set is somewhere between a live band and a DJ set, where we want to create an atmosphere that is just fun and energetic and just
encourages mayhem and lots of dancing."

cadre of hard rock acts led by Opeth, Unearth, Poison The Well and Clutch are uniting for the inaugural Sounds of the Underground summer festival tour. The bill will hit the road in North America in late June and run through late July.
With organizers promising the addition of a notable headlining act, others already confirmed for the full tour are From Autumn To Ashes, Chimaira, Norma Jean, Every Time I Die, Strapping Young Lad, Throwdown, High On Fire, Devil Driver, All That Remains, A Life Once Lost and veteran horrorcore group Gwar, which will present a "halftime show."
Madball has been drafted for the eastern half of the tour, with Terror picking up on Western dates. Regional additions include the Red Chord (East Coast), Fear Before The March Of Flames (Midwest, Southeast) and Himsa (West).

Kings Of Leon, the Darkness, Muse, Felix Da Housecat, Thursday, Afrika Bambaataa, Poison The Well, the Sleepy Jackson, Audio Bullys, David Holmes and Lost Prophets are among the acts that have joined the bill for the Big Day Out tour of Australia and New Zealand. Event run: Jan. 16 in Auckland to Feb. 1 in Perth.
Including Metallica, the Strokes, the Flaming Lips, the Mars Volta, Dandy Warhols, Aphex Twin, Basement Jaxx, Black Eyed Peas, Peaches, Luke Vibert, Jet and the Datsuns.

Based in Brooklyn, New York, the duo is composed of Derek E. Miller (songwriter, guitarist, producer) and Alexis Krauss (vocals). The duo met and formed in 2008, when Miller was waiting tables on Alexis and her mother at a neighborhood Brazilian restaurant. Miller mentioned he was looking for a female vocalist to work with on a musical project, for which Alexis' mother immediately volunteered her. Live performances
Sleigh Bells are known for their energetic and wild performances. Guitarist Derek Miller often uses a Red Gibson SG and a variety of distortion pedals through a Marshall Amplifier. They play to a backing track of music from laptop software so the only live instrument is the guitar.Discography
